The Genesys Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is the largest family medicine program in the state of Michigan. The program includes three years of comprehensive training in family medicine with positions for 39 residents. It is one of a handful of residencies offering both Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education and American Osteopathic Association certification. With a long tradition of family medicine training dating back to 1971, our program is one of the most innovative residencies in the nation and our graduates are highly recruited. Our training embraces the broad spectrum of family practice from inpatient care to the ambulatory setting.
A partnership between Genesys Regional Medical Center and Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH) located in the Zhejiang Province of the People's Republic of China. The goal of this partnership is to help SRRSH establish a family practice residency program that meets the standards of the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education. This unique partnership offers GFMRP residents and MSU-CHM medical students the opportunity to travel to China for an elective.
