The Department of Family Medicine of Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine seeks a family physician to join an enthusiastic team of clinicians, educators, and researchers.

This position is 60% clinical with 40% time divided between teaching and scholarly activity.  Clinically you will work in our outpatient Primary Care Integrated Practice in East Lansing, MI and have the ability to supervise Family Medicine residents within the Sparrow Hospital System.  Obstetric privileges are available and encouraged.

We seek candidates committed to teaching students and residents with a strong interest in scholarship.  Department faculty have a range of research interests, including novel approaches to enhancing the care of patients with complex disorders, patient safety, and quality improvement. We are also internationally recognized for our provider health research. The Department has a strong mentoring and career development program, and several NIH funded PhD faculty.  We are committed to global health and to collaborating with primary care researchers in other countries.

The successful candidate will be MD/DO residency trained and board certified/eligible in Family Medicine. Medical licensure in Michigan is required by the time of hiring. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expectations of this position. Mentorship is available for all domains. We are interested in both newly graduated residents and experienced family physicians with an interest in becoming active in medical education and research.
