Person: Lynn Swan

Dr. Lynn Swan, who has been the Family Medicine Clerkship Director in Traverse City for the past 10 years, has decided to retire.

“Dr. Swan is one of the most kind, thoughtful, involved person I have ever met. She always went above and beyond for her students, always keeping in contact with them, giving them feedback, and helping them learn as much as they could during their Family Medicine rotation. Her work with the homeless and underserved in Traverse City Community is commendable. All students who were able to spend some time with her and the homeless community had a wonderful experience. Dr. Swan is a person who is willing to help out any way she can. Even if I had a last minute request she was always able to help out. She will definitely be missed. ” – Kendry Scott

“I have had the honor of working with Lynn for the past 10 years. She is one of the most compassionate and sincere individuals I know. All who meet her, whether that be within the realm of the Traverse Health Clinic, her work with the homeless population or in her role as an educator to next generation of physicians, immediately sense that she is genuine and will help in any way she can. While the Traverse City campus will miss her greatly as our Clerkship Director for Family Medicine, I am confident that she will continue to impact our lives, the lives of our students and the community to which she so selflessly serves.” – Christy Lavene
