Egle Klugiene, MD, joined the Midland Family Medicine Residency as a faculty member after graduating in 2011. During her third year of residency training she was the recipient of the Dr. Harry A. Towsley Award for recognition of outstanding performance as a family medicine resident. She has also received certification for successful completion of the University of Michigan Faculty Development Institute and holds an appointment as a assistant professor through the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Family Medicine Department.
Dr. Klugiene has special interests in women’s health, inpatient medicine along with full-spectrum family medicine. Her greatest joy at work is teaching the residents. In June 2013, the residents voted to award her the Robert E. Bowsher Award for recognition of outstanding clinical teaching.
