NOTICE OF CONFERENCE: Theme ~ Promoting Research
Works in Progress (WIP): Investigators with research concepts will submit a two-page concept paper to an expert panel. The investigator will make a five minute presentation to the expert panel. The panel will discuss the idea with the investigator and audience for fifteen minutes. The goal is to help the investigator move the concept into a fundable study and help others understand how experts examine a study concept.
CONFERENCE LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Take away one new idea about a research question or approach to answering a research question
Describe research projects occurring in family medicine residency programs in Michigan
Identify primary care research collaborators interested in translating research into practice
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The planning committee for the Michigan Family Medicine Research Day invites submission of abstracts of original research pertient to family medicine and primary care. This annual event is designed to encourage and assist new researchers and scholars in family medicine, nursing and the behavioral sciences in a collegial atmosphere where we can all learn and exchange ideas that may improve pattens of practice and the health of patients under our care.
We welcome submission of abstracts on research or scholarly projects. Research abstracts will focus on the collection, analysis and presentation of original data, either quantitative or qualitative. Scholarly categories include case reports,* literature reviews and summaries,* clinical inquiries,* curriculum developments, quality assurance projects, and disease management strategies.
