Dr. Omayma Alshaarawy recently went to two research conferences to present her research. She brought her camera along so we could enjoy the trip too.
This group photo is for the NIH HSDO (Human Studies on Diabetes and Obesity) study section who met in Washington DC on 6/15 and 16. I served as an early career reviewer for this study section.
I then travelled to Denver to attend the CPDD meeting. I presented a poster and chaired a forum on “Engaging individuals with lived experiences of substance use disorders in research”.
Finally, I traveled to the ADA meeting in San Diego and I presented a poster on limited English proficiency and diabetes outcomes with Dr. Frank Mueller.
