The Research Society on Marijuana meeting in Detroit this weekend saw the participation of Drs. Ban Al-Sahab, Omayma Alshaarawy, and Mallet Reid.
Each doctor contributed significantly: Dr. Ban Al-Sahab presented her compelling work on cannabis use among pregnant women in Michigan. Dr. Mallet Reid shared his research on cannabis use disorder. And Dr. Omayma Alshaarawy lent her expertise to a cannabis science panel, where she discussed diverse career paths with students and postdocs.
The event also provided an opportunity to reconnect with Dr. Alyssa Vanderziel, a former graduate student from the CALM lab and our Department, who is now a Health Scientist at Henry Ford Health.
