MSU Researchers Highlight Key Finding on Prenatal Cannabis Use

New research led by Assistant Professor Ban Al-Sahab at Michigan State University (MSU) brings to light the concerning prevalence of cannabis use among pregnant women in Michigan. The study, published in the journal Addiction, found that approximately one in six women in the state used cannabis at some point during their pregnancy between 2017 and 2023. In some areas, this rate was as high as one in four.
