The MSU Department of Family Medicine is happy to announce that the Spectrum Health Family Medicine Residency Program has joined our residency network. Spectrum Health is the 10th residency program to join, and the second one located in Grand Rapids. The Spectrum Health Family Medicine Residency Program features a 3-year program that has rotations at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, as well as Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.

“We are excited to work with Dr. O’Meara and her team from the Spectrum Health Family Medicine Residency Program. We have been fortunate to work with many of their faculty in the past and know they bring extensive clinical practice and leadership experience that will strengthen our network activities. As a new program with clinical opportunities in both rural and urban settings, Spectrum will bring a unique perspective to our work while also finding mentors among their Network colleagues who lead programs in similar environments. We are looking forward to supporting this program as it grows and collaborating with their faculty and residents on leadership and scholarly projects.”Molly Polverento, M.S.Ed, CPH, Residency Network Director

The Department of Family Medicine Residency Network is comprised of 10 family medicine residencies from across the state of Michigan.
