Telehealth Curriculum Grant Awarded to Ilardo

Denise White Perkins, MD, PhD Vice Chair of Family Medicine, Director of Henry Ford Healthcare Equity Initiatives, and clinical investigator in the new Henry Ford Health Primary Health Research Training Program, was recently awarded a $374,463 grant through the Michigan Health Endowment Fund Healthy Aging Initiative. She will partner with Co-PI Joan Ilardo, PhD, Director of Research Initiatives, College of Human Medicine and Senior Associate Chair, Department of Family Medicine at MSU on this work. The grant funds will be used to implement and evaluate a telehealth curriculum with three Southeast Michigan residency programs. Congratulations to Drs. White Perkins and Ilardo for taking this important step in bridging healthcare gaps in our aging population.
