Alessandra is passionate about patient-centered care and the intersection of mental health and physical wellness. As a member of the HELP lab, she assists with research investigating health outcomes associated with pediatric functional abdominal pain.

Alessandra is a second-year medical student at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014 with a B.A. in Comparative Literature and a B.S. in Biology. Prior to enrolling in medical school, Alessandra was a Clinic Manager at Women’s Community Clinic and Lyon-Martin Health services in San Francisco, CA where she gained experience supporting patients with challenges to health access and learned about integrated mental health and primary care models.
