Dr. Mercer is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, with a residency in family medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan.
She serves as chairperson of the Department of Family Medicine at McLaren Flint and is the medical director of the Family Medicine Center. Dr. Mercer has a certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics and teaches the geriatric curriculum in the residency.
