Biography

Elizabeth is passionate about improving outcomes in lupus.  As a member of the HELP lab, she conducts research examining the interplay of psychosocial and health-related outcomes in childhood-onset lupus.  She is a first-year medical student at Michigan State College of Human Medicine pursuing her medical degree. She received her B.S. also from Michigan State in Biomedical Laboratory Science with a concentration in Immunology. During her time as an undergraduate, she researched the effect of omega-3 fatty acids on lupus development in a preclinical model and is excited to explore similar work in clinical populations.
