Janet Ogunwobi, MA, an Academic Specialist Outreach with the Department of Family Medicine, with interest in Social Services and Community Outreach, building and promoting relationships between the department of family medicine and community partners.
Janet also facilitates and organizes speaker sessions, training programs and lectures for the department to encourage collaboration, and to provide outreach opportunities for medical students in the department.
Prior to this role, Janet worked in different areas of social services in West Africa, United Kingdom, and Janet worked as an educator with the New York Public school system, a Contact Tracer and as a Community Specialist with the New York State Covid-19 Contact Tracing Initiative. Janet earned her bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Janet enjoys singing, helping people and traveling with her family.
