Dr. Mitchell, M.D. grew up in Rochester, MI, before completing her undergraduate education at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Wayne State Medical School and our Residency. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Mitchell became Program Director in 2008. Currently she is on the national board of the Association of FM Residency Directors, a past President of the MAFP and past Chair of the ABFM, she advocates for family medicine at the state and national levels. She resides in Rochester with her husband Jay Mitchell, a Pediatrician. She has two sons, Adam and Lucas. She enjoys hand bell ringing, playing clarinet, running, camping, hiking and skiing in her spare time.
