Megan Quinlan, MD, is the newest faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine, and a recent addition to the MSU Family Health Center.
What brought you to the MSU Department of Family Medicine?
After completing my training in Family Medicine on the West Coast, I decided to move home to Michigan to be closer to family. I have always known that I desired a career in academic medicine and the opportunity to be a faculty member at MSU College of Human Medicine was too good to pass up.
What do you enjoy about working at MSU Family Health Center?
The best thing about my work at MSU Family Health Center is the variety of the day-to-day work. I have really enjoyed building my full spectrum family medicine clinical practice at the MSU Family Health Center while also having the opportunity to work with medical students at CHM and resident physicians through the MSU Sparrow Family Medicine residency program. I love getting to work with learners – they really help me to be the best doctor I can be!
What are you looking forward to working in the MSU Department of Family Medicine?
I am looking forward to continuing to grow relationships with my patients, with my colleagues in the clinic/medical school, and within the community. I would love to help to expand the clinical work we do because access to high quality primary care is SO important in our country right now. Finally, I would like to continue to develop my skills as an educator and gain additional responsibilities and opportunities within the medical school.
